26th Annual Benefit Art Contest
Contest Period: Contest begins Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011 and ends Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2012
Theme: The theme of this year’s art contest is “Open Your Eyes"
Prizes: 1st Place $500 2nd Place $250 3rd Place$100 4th- 6th $50
· 1st Place winner will be announced at PATF’s Annual Benefit on Wednesday, March 14, 2012; 1st place artwork could be featured in the Annual Benefit Program.
· Top six finalists will have an opportunity to network and present artwork to prominent PATF donors, sponsors and leaders in art at PATF’s Annual Benefit as well as a VIP reception (date TBD).
· The first 50 artists to sign up will receive a $10 gift certificate to a bar/restaurant in Station Square, once artwork is submitted.
Winners must be available to attend Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force 26th Annual Benefit on
March 14, 2012, 6-9 p.m.
Eligibility: Open to all students! Artwork must be original. Artists must be 18 or older to participate.
Specifications: Submissions may be graphic design, painting, mixed media, sculpture, photography, fashion or jewelry design.
· Canvases should be no larger than 24”x36”
· Sculpture should be no higher than 36” and no heavier than 50lbs.
· All entries should be submitted ready-to-display. We will not frame or modify your artwork in any way.
· All entries must have the artist name, contact information, school, and a brief description of the artwork
How to Enter: Complete the ENTRY FORM and submit a signed copy of the OFFICIAL RULES

Submission: Artwork must be submitted to PATF’s office, located at 5913 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15206
Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Monday, Jan. 9 through Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2012

Judging: All entries will be judged anonymously by a panel of experts and will not be returned to the students who submitted them. Each piece of art submitted must be the work of one (1) student and may not be the collective work of more than one student. Submissions that adhere to these guidelines will be judged with special attention to: (1) treatment of the assigned theme (‘Open your Eyes to the reality that HIV still exists’) (2) creativity, originality, and aesthetic appeal (3) overall quality of the artwork.
The first 50 artists to complete BOTH forms will receive a $10 gift certificate to a bar/restaurant in Station Square, once artwork is
submitted. This will help us gauge interest and make accommodations for the judging party.
