The primary goal of the Needs Assessment is to develop a deeper understanding of the barriers to care experienced by those living with HIV in our region.  This process will compare and contrast the needs of various sub-populations, examining racial disparities and rural access to care.  We will engage individuals, who are already connected to our system of care, as well as those who receive limited or no HIV support.  In addition to determining what barriers prevent clients from accessing care, we want to understand what types of services are currently not available, but are needed and desired by clients.  Examples of such services include holistic care or support groups targeted to unserved populations.
