HIV/AIDS SERVICES

The Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force offers comprehensive, seamless support services to those living with HIV/AIDS.  As HIV/AIDS issues continue to evolve, PATF adjusts its programs and services to meet the most imperative needs of our clients.

Case Management

Professional staff and volunteers provide referrals and intensive case management to people living with HIV/AIDS who have complex needs including those relating to addiction and mental health issues. Case managers meet with individuals to assess needs and assist in gaining access to resources and services.

HUD Supportive Housing Program

PATF offers three programs for individuals who are living with HIV/AIDS and are faced with homelessness:
1. Project Pathways - 24-month transitional housing for single adults at a central location with onsite staff assistance.
2 & 3. CHOICE I & CHOICE II - permanent affordable housing for single adults and families at various locations throughout Allegheny County.

These housing programs provide a variety of case management services and referrals for primary medical care, nursing care, drug/alcohol and mental health treatment, nutrition counseling, money management education, and social activities. Placements are limited.

The pantry is open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.

Nutritional Supplements

PATF offers multi-vitamin/mineral supplements as well as a variety of nutritional supplements, such as Ensure and Sustecal.  A continuous supply of home-delivered supplements may be arranged through PATF's case managers.

Support Groups

PATF offers a weekly support group that meets every Monday morning at the PATF office, 10:00-11:30 am.  The group is  facilitated by a contracted therapist, and focuses on the needs or concerns that impact daily life for those living with HIV/AIDS .  Lunch is provided after each meeting.  The support group does not meet if the PATF office is closed for business that day. If you have any questions please contact Darrell Phillips, Director of Housing and Client Services at 412-345-7456 ext. 574.
