PITTSBURGH AIDS TASK FORCE ANNOUNCES ENTERTAINMENT FOR 31ST ANNUAL BENEFIT, APRIL 26

Pittsburgh, PA – Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force (PATF), southwestern Pennsylvania’s oldest and largest HIV/AIDS service organization, is pleased to announce the entertainment for PATF’s 31st Annual Benefit, taking place on April 26, 2017 from 6:00 to 10:00pm at J Verno Studios. Titled “A Moulin Twist,” the Benefit will infuse Pittsburgh springtime surprises with the classic French theme.

Highlights of the evening will be musical numbers by Broadway performers Constantine Rousouli and Ginifer King, performances by contortionist Topher Bousquet, and painted live models by artist Caleb Green. Miss Thea Trix, a local drag queen who has performed for more than 20 years, will serve as the Emcee and host of the evening. Reservations for the event can be purchased here.

Constantine Rousouli and Ginifer King will be performing various musical numbers. On Broadway, King performed in Cyrano de Bergerac, Steel Magnolias, and Gypsy. She stared in the television show The Haunted Hathaways and appeared in the movies Confessions of a Shopaholic and Struck by Lightning. Rousouli has appeared in Broadway productions of Ghost the Musical, Wicked, and Hairspray.

Topher Bousquet will be performing two contortionist sets, one of which will be interactive. He completed the New England Center for Circus Arts Professional Training Program and has performed at circuses, burlesque reviews, cabarets, and more all around the United States.

VIPs will be treated to a behind-the-scenes look at painting live models by local artist Caleb Green during the VIP Bubbly Lounge from 6:00 to 7:30pm. These guests will also be treated to sparkling wine served from a “strolling champagne dress,” a hoop skirt that holds glasses of wine.

During the benefit, PATF will present Larry Leahy, DMD, with the Kerry Stoner Award. The award, named for a PATF founder and its first executive director, is given annually to honor a person or an organization that has shown commitment to Kerry Stoner’s legacy and vision through long-term dedication to PATF and the HIV/AIDS community. Dr. Leahy was the first dentist in southwestern Pennsylvania to knowingly see HIV-positive patients and has supported PATF for over 25 years.

Funds raised by the Annual Benefit are crucial to PATF’s ability to treat, support, and empower individuals living with HIV/AIDS in southwestern Pennsylvania. These funds are also vital for our free HIV, STI, and hepatitis C testing and prevention outreach programming.
